Introduction
The Turtle Mountain Community College Library serves as both an academic and public library. Our collection of materials supports the needs of the students, professional development of teachers and staff, and the community. The library’s holdings are organized in eight collections:
- Reference Collection
- Easy Collection
- Juvenile Collection
- Anishinabe Collection
- Elementary Education Collection
- Non-Fiction Collection
- Fiction Collection
- Law Collection
The library’s holdings also include a large periodical section; music on compact discs, cassette, and phonograph records; audio books on CD and cassette; and a large assortment of videos and DVDs. The library also has a computer lab with 12 computers that are internet accessible and has wireless internet capabilities.
The library is furnished with a children’s reading area, newsprint reading area, a quiet lounging area for large group studying or for student organizations meetings, smaller lounging areas for reading, and a tutor room. Patrons can also view videos and DVDs in the designated area of the library.
