Stacie Blue is the environmental science faculty under the NSF TCUP grant. As the environmental science faculty Stacie teaches Environmental Science, Introduction to Ecology, and Science Survey. She is responsible for the regional science fair for grades 3rd through 8th. Mrs. Blue is also the project director for the NSF ATE grant to establish a Turtle Mountain GIS/GPS Field Station. The ATE grant is a collaborative project between TMCC and the UND Geography department to increase geospatial technology experiences for TMCC students, Rural Secondary Science Teachers and Computer Technicians, and Tribal Programs.

Stacie, along with the support of Turtle Mountain Community College and Red Feather Development Group of Bozeman, MT, worked to develop an 1800sq. ft. straw bale building with radiant floor heating and solar panels to be used as a classroom and meeting space for TMCC and as an example of an alternative building design that works in North Dakota.

Stacie has earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree from the University of North Dakota and a Master’s of Science degree from Montana State University.
