Dennis DeCoteau is a member of the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa and has worked in education for the past 25 years. He has an A.A. Degree from NDSU-Bottineau Branch, B.S. Degree from Mayville State College, and a Master’s Degree from the University of Mary, Bismarck, ND. The majority of his career has been spent in Elementary Education Administration and he has worked on several reservations across the State of North Dakota.

For the past 15 years, Dennis has worked mainly in Education Administration and has served as Elementary Principal for the following schools: Rugby, Cannonball, Dunseith Public, Dunseith Day and, Four Winds at Ft. Totten. For the past five years, Dennis has been employed by the Belcourt School District as the Athletic/Activities Director for grades 4 thru 12. Dennis has experience in working with “TRIO” programs and in the early 80’s was employed by the University of Mary as an outreach Talent Search Advisor.
