About the Foundation

The Traditional Dancer: A Men's Traditional dancer tells a personal story of generations past war dance, hunt, counting coup. Regalia worn to represent the four legged, winged, crawlers and swimmers keeping the Circle protected and strong. What an honor it is to wear the breast plate, eagle bustle, eagle fan, eagle whistle, bells, cloth or leather, regalia as personal as the dancer dances because he can, restoring life to the Tribal Nation Traditions and a love for dancing as he sways facing the prey or the enemy in an animate dance old as the hills and plains themselves. Dance, dance Traditional dancers, dance the dance for those who can't, dance for the ancestors, dance for the unborn, dance for the young and old to watch in wonder as you gracefully step on our earth mother gratefully...Miigwech ~ JT Shining OneSide
