Angel is a member of the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indians, born in Rolla, North Dakota. She graduated from Turtle Mountain Community High School. She then attended college at North Dakota State University. She graduated May 2000 with a B.S.-Business Administration. She then moved back to Belcourt.

Angel has been working at the Turtle Mountain Community College since January 2004. She resides in Belcourt with her husband, Travis and children; Jayden Rose, Dylan, and Kalvin. Her hobbies consist of spending time with her family, watching her daughter play basketball, and playing darts.
