Dr. Scott M. Hanson received a BS in Zoology from Andrews University in Michigan. He earned an MS in 1988 and a Ph. D. in 1991 in biological sciences at Notre Dame. After a post-doctoral position at the University of Tokyo in Japan and another at the Illinois Natural History Survey, he was hired as a science instructor at Turtle Mountain Community College in 1996. Since then, he has taught life science courses at TMCC and has served as P. I. or Senior Personnel on a number of grants for mosquito research, fish research, water quality and curriculum development. He also served as Assessment Coordinator during the 2002-2003 academic year.
